KBH624C Metal Lever Handle (Cold Side), Polished Chrome/Polished Brass

Several weeks ago I ordered a replacement cold water replacement faucet using the information from this diagram https://www.kingstonbrass.com/products/kingston-brass-kb954-polished-chrome-polished-brass. When the part arrived I first checked the general appearance. The part was identical in appearance to old part on faucet. When I attempted to replace old part, I discovered that new part was not compatible: did not have internal threads to attach to faucet base and had no internal plumbing components whatsoever, I am unable to use this part. Would appreciate any assistance to make this work. [****]
