What is everyone’s least favorite part about cooking? The clean up! Having a personal assistant to go behind you, cleaning up every crumb, would be a dream come true. Unfortunately, not all of us have the capital for hired help. We do have some options, however, in our kitchen layout to make clean-up a non-issue. Wall mount faucets are the counter space savers that will make your kitchen dreams come true.

What’s the 411 on wall-mount faucets?

Wall-mount kitchen faucets are named after their installation type. They are a two-hole installation, installed on the wall behind the sink, leaving the counter tops clear for a cleaner look. Because of the horizontal pop that wall-mount faucets give, they are more of a centerpiece, perfect for planning a design around. Additionally, their unique look is great for a variety of styles from Art Deco to Old-World inspired. (These are great in laundry rooms, too!)

What kind of sink should this be paired with?

Many people opt for an wall-mount sink to be paired with wall-mount faucets. This will allow the faucet to pop out and nicely contrast against the white finish of the sink, especially when choosing a darker finish faucet like oil-rubbed bronze. Employing this sink type allows for a farmhouse aesthetic that can easily go Vintage or Old-World if you would like it to. If you don’t want a farmhouse theme, pair your faucet against a nice backsplash for a stunning design and ditch the wall-mount sink! Additionally, a beautiful copper or cement single bowl sink will provide a nice edgy look for Art-Deco styles.
